Haniah Ahmer was at her destructive best (4/17) as Pakistan beat Samoa by 52 runs in the ongoing ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup at the Johor Cricket Oval in Johor on Friday, January 24. (More Cricket News)

Opting to field first, Samoa were put on the backfoot early on as Komal Khan (11)  and Maham Anees (28) started off strong for Pakistan.

Defending a good total, Ahmer and Khan were at their lethal best taking six wickets between them, giving away just 36 runs in 7.5 overs. 

Quratulain picked up two wickets while Tayyba Imdad bagged one as Samoa were bowled out for just 84 in 18.5 overs. 

Verra Farane with her 19 top scored, while Stella Sagalala managed to score 15. Ahmer was adjudged Player of the Match for her 4/17.
